Right on cue by the river

Following on from the success of the Sheepdrove event in September the final event in this year’s connect programme was held at Westminster Boating Base in London.

Three spaces were used. Responding to our client’s brief we enhanced the reception area with battery operated up lighting on the walls together with feature lighting on overhead drape sails to create an interesting and welcoming area for the delegates. Presentations & quizzes took place in the Pavilion Room where we provided 55” plasma screens, a six speaker PA system with radio microphones for vocal reinforcement and background music. Lighting was not only used to highlight the speakers, we also enhanced decorative silver lamé to create a rippling water effect on the surrounding balcony to accentuate the view and feel of the venue.

The refreshment space had very little natural light so we used pin spots and up lighting together with additional lighting for silver lamé to create the same water effect with a gold half mirror ball to make the room sparkle. This all created a space for delegates to relax, converse and enjoy refreshments.

The theme of the event was captured by our creative team and was visualised and then brought to life through the stage, set and on screen graphics. The words were placed vertically on 14 foot high panels to create maximum effect.

In order to maintain a slick professional look, all technical equipment and lighting was suspended from the ceiling. To reveal The Pampered Chef’s new logo we suspended a HD projector to project the old logo morphing into the new one on a central walkway.

All of the graphical content including logos, animations, live camera and presentations were controlled and vision mixed on our NewTek Tricaster 8000.

This also captured all of the footage from the event which was used to create an action packed highlights video.

To add a sense of fun and excitement to the event our photobooth was used at the gala dinner. The delegates loved the customised prints and let their ‘guard’ down throughout the evening.
