After previous supplying successful hybrid events involving teams from across Europe Cue were approached by Norwex for their upcoming 2022 European Annual Conference. The two-day event, with a full day of re-hearsals, was to be hosted at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Belfast.
The celebration, recognition and award style event is an integral part of the Norwex event calendar, bringing together senior leadership with the wider sales force. The schedule includes training, networking, workshops, celebration, recognition, and awards session all jam packed over the course of 2 days.

As with all Norwex events the requirements for these were always paramount, a beautiful, clean, presentable backdrop with a sizable stage to play host to a series of presenters and award winners. Cue achieved this with an enormous single graphic across the back of the stage and in keeping with Norwex’s environmental pledge this was mounted on a reusable aluminum frame and printed on fully recyclable material.
The AV systems supplied incorporated a single large projection screen above the set and a number of relay screens around the room. The screens were paramount not only due to the remote presenters, but also the wonderful video content produced by Norwex and in many sessions with a single presenter, cameras were used to relay their image around the room and networking areas.
Norwex has always seen the value in great lighting, and it’s always been a pleasure for us to work with them to produce a visually stunning experience. With this passion we also incorporated effective stage lighting to capture the gorgeous video content used later in social media as well as live broadcast across Europe.
The Hybrid event needed to provide both remote presenters and a remote audience for all those who could not attend in person. This had been a feature of Norwex events since our first event with them in 2019 which was simultaneously broadcast and translated to different events across Europe.

To empower the remote presenters, rehearsals were set up in advance & a virtual green room created allowing the presenters to meet and discuss in advance of each session. The stream was sent simultaneously to various platforms including social media to reach the widest possible audience and provide a backup in case one service fails.
Film teams were on standby to pre-record sessions where presenters were unable to attend or connect remotely, unlike with previous years we were very lucky to have all presenters live on screen.
To ensure reliability backup internet connections were prepared in the event of any trouble with the Venue’s own connection. This combined with multiple streaming devices on site provided a significant layer of redundancy in case of any problems.
